Earlier this summer, NACC hired veteran Cross Country coach John Moore to lead the Mustangs. "I'm honored to be leading the team here at Northeast," said Coch Moore. "Our student-athletes have already shown me their incredible commitment during pre-season training. Our focus this year will be to develop consistently and to create a team identity rooted in accountability with high expectations. Every practice, mile, and race is a step toward building a championship program here at NACC."
Coach Moore, a native of Calhoun County, will be back near his home turf for this weekend's event. "I'm especially looking forward to competing for the first time as head coach of the Mustangs in my hometown," said Moore. "My wife and I have raised our family in Calhoun County, and I will have a lot of family and friends cheering our team on this weekend."
NACC's new athletics website – naccathletics.com – provides schedules, rosters, news, and more for the 2025 Cross Country season.
NACC's Athletic Director Jimmy Kolaitis is ready for the new season to begin. "I'm excited to see our young athletes compete this weekend," said Kolaitis. "They've been putting in the work every day. The future of our cross country program is bright, and we're continuing to build on a good foundation."
