NACC finishes seventh in ACCC Women’s Golf Championships
The Northeast Alabama Community College women's golf team opened the postseason with another Top-10 finish.
The Mustangs posted a seventh-place finish in the 2026 Alabama Community College Conference Division II Women's Golf Championships.
The two-round tournament was held Monday and Tuesday at Juniper Creek Golf Course in Brewton.
Freshman Jillian Lyness led the NACC effort, finishing 19th in the tournament's individual standings with a two-round score of 23-over par. After shooting 16-over par in Round 1, Lyness climbed six spots in the individual standings in Round 2 after carding a 7-over par 79 during a round that included two birdies and seven pars.
Also for NACC, freshman Gracie Sullivan finished 31st while sophomores Angel Fulks and Taylor Bishop were 40th and 42nd respectively.
NACC, ranked No. 22 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II Women's Golf Rankings, competes for a bid to next month's NJCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships during the NJCAA South District 8 Tournament at Cider Ridge Golf Club in Oxford next week.
